“Cuatro” talents promise a “10” show — Entertainment

Date:

Four musical talents representing diverse backgrounds, from Philippine pop to American jazz, star in a show titled “Cuatro” but promise an evening that’s a “10” in top-notch entertainment. Djhoanna Garcia (aka Giji Kocher), Maricar Cabasag, Patrick Barnitt and Val Villar will deliver exciting solo performances and soaring harmonies on Friday, March 6, at Royal Palace Glendale.

Garcia, who leads the show’s talented lineup, is a celebrated singer and actress with a career spanning decades. From her early days as a “Tawag ng Tanghalan” standout, singer and actress in Manila to her transition into a prominent entrepreneur and performer in Los Angeles, she has never lost her powerhouse vocals or command of the stage. Known for her dynamic belting ability that recalls the great Shirley Bassey and for her soulful interpretations, Garcia brings sophisticated maturity and deeply felt emotion to every song she performs.

With a voice that has resonated on the national stage, Cabasag is widely recognized for her captivating performances at venues across Southern California. Her ability to blend technical precision with modern pop sensibility makes her a favorite on the live entertainment circuit. Whether she’s delivering a moving ballad or a smooth R&B groove, the chanteuse’s magnetic stage presence and vocals always leave audiences thoroughly entertained.

Patrick Barnitt adds a touch of classic Hollywood charm with his smooth baritone. An actor in “Se7en” and various “Star Trek” series, and an accomplished vocalist in the L.A. jazz scene, he is the quintessential contemporary crooner. A regular at legendary venues like the Dresden Room, Barnitt evokes the golden era of the Rat Pack. His ability to swing through jazz standards with effortless cool provides a perfect stylistic counterpoint to the evening’s lineup.

For Val Villar, musical excellence is a birthright. He comes from the well-respected musical families of the Pangilinans and the Villars, a lineage synonymous with artistic mastery, including his mother, Lerrie Pangilinan, an eight-time champion of “Tawag ng Tanghalan.” A veteran of groups like Adobo, Villar strives to connect with his audience through a shared love of melody and musical storytelling.

Watch these four entertainers in a night of elegance and memorable music. Doors open at 6 p.m. Showtime is at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $150 each, inclusive of a sumptuous dinner and an open bar from 7 to 10 p.m., and are available through (818) 585-6790 and (818) 426-4534.
