My case has been in 'administrative processing' for months after the interview — is this normal?

It's one of the most anxiety-inducing stages because there's genuinely no visibility into what's happening or how long it'll take. Most administrative processing resolves within about 60 days, but I've seen cases — particularly ones involving certain countries or prior visa denials — take considerably longer. The embassy won't proactively update you; you truly are just waiting for them to reach out.
