Country music legend Marty Stuart has provided fans with an update after an injury earlier this month left him unable to play music.
That, of course, also forced Stuart to postpone his February dates, but it looks like he is planning to return to action soon because he shared an update on the postponements on social media.
“Thank you for your patience,” Stuart wrote on Instagram. “Excited to announce the reschedule dates for the Molly x Marty: Guitars on Fire — The Cosmic Twang Tour!”
One of the rescheduled dates is for April 4 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.
The 67-year-old Grand Ole Opry member shared the news of his injury earlier this month.
“Well, there’s the slow hand — the Mojo Hand, the Unseen Hand, the Hard Working Hand, And then I fell down on a patch of ice and did an excellent job of hurting my hand and spraining my wrist, complete with a state-of-the-art hairline fracture,” Stuart wrote on Instagram. “Good job, Marty!!
“It’s getting better by the day,” he added. “The worst part of it all is I can’t play the guitar or the mandolin, at the moment. So, please pardon the cancellations and inconveniences. The Superlatives and I will return in full force just as soon as possible. Meanwhile, stay safe, everybody.”
Along with the post, Stuart wrote: “Updates for February shows are coming soon, please keep an eye out on social and your email. For any refund information, please contact your point of purchase. Stay safe, everyone! Team Marty.”
His friends and followers were quick to send love.
“O no! We’re so sorry to hear that, Marty!” one person replied. “We will be praying for full healing as soon as possible. I know not playing for a while is going to be tough. We have all faith Ms. Connie will take good care of you. Love you both!”
“Rest up and take care of that hand Maestro!” another wrote.
“So sorry, @martystuart!” Joe Baugh replied. “Lifting you in prayer for a quick recovery so you can get back to pickin’ and grinnin’ as the maestro that you are. Wishing you and the fabulous superlatives much well wellness.”
