Jobs co-founded Apple in 1976 with Steve Wozniak in a garage in California, and the company's early success came from popularizing the personal computer with products like the Apple II.

After being ousted from Apple in 1985 following internal conflicts, Jobs founded NeXT and acquired Pixar Animation Studios, which became a hugely successful animation studio under his leadership.

Jobs returned to Apple in 1997 and led its transformation into the world's most valuable company, overseeing the launch of the iMac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad, before his death from pancreatic cancer in 2011.
