WARRENSBURG, Mo — If you’re the kind of parent who likes to get summer plans on the calendar early, you’re in luck.
The University of Central Missouri has opened registration for its Summer Arts Camps, a weeklong lineup of creative camps that run June 7–12 on the UCM campus in Warrensburg. The camps are designed for students who completed grades 7–12 during the 2025–26 school year, and they’re built around giving kids a chance to try something new, build skills, and meet other students from across the region.
There are four main camp tracks to choose from: Summer Music Camp, Summer Theater and Dance Camp, Summer Art Camp, and the Summer Piano and Organ Institute. Students pick a primary camp, but they can also mix in classes from other areas if their schedule allows.
Course options are expected to include everything from improv, acting, and musical theater dance to music theory, songwriting, private lessons, and ensembles, along with hands-on art classes like painting, ceramics, figure drawing, costume design, and comic design. UCM says the final course list will be announced in March.
