The 9th Annual Entertainment & Sports Law Conference returns to Tulane Law School on April 10–11, 2026, for two days of conversations at the forefront of sports, media, and entertainment. Presented by Tulane Law and the Tulane Center for Sport, the conference is free and open to the public, welcoming students, alumni, and industry professionals from across the country.

This year’s keynote speaker is Desmond Howard, a former Heisman Trophy winner and Super Bowl MVP who now serves as a prominent sportscaster. His experience at the highest levels of college football, the NFL, and sports media will anchor a program focused on the evolving business and legal landscape of sports and entertainment.

The conference was founded by alumni leaders, including Jeff Frost (L’89), president and founder of Bristol Circle Entertainment, and Kevin Yorn (L’90), founding partner of the Yorn Levine Entertainment Law Firm, which represents superstars like Alicia Keys, Anna Kendrick, the D’Amelio sisters, and others. Alongside fellow organizer Tim Francis (L’84) of Sher Garner, they built the event to connect Tulane Law students with top decision-makers in entertainment and sports. Over the years, the conference has grown into one of the premier gatherings of its kind, reflecting Tulane’s longstanding strength and alumni leadership in these industries.

This year’s program spans the most pressing issues shaping the field, from film production and music to athlete representation, professional sports management, and the impact of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies on entertainment. Attendees will also gain insight into high-stakes contract negotiations and the complexities of representing high-profile clients. A special lunchtime cooking demonstration with New Orleans chef Dook Chase IV adds a local touch to the national conversation.

Widely regarded as a leading conference in the field, the annual event brings together influential lawyers, executives, agents, and creatives to examine the forces reshaping their industries. Organized by Tulane Law staff and alumni, the 2026 conference once again positions Tulane Law at the center of the national conversation in entertainment and sports law.
