Earlier today Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told a press conference addressing the nation on Friday that victory over Russia was “inevitable” if Ukraine’s Western partners keep their promises. Zelensky was repeating his request for as much Western assistance as possible as the war entered its second year on February 24 in a state of grinding stalemate.

Russia is increasingly isolated at the United Nations, which voted overwhelmingly Thursday to demand that Russia immediately and unconditionally withdraw its troops from Ukraine.
