Thousands of people were evacuated from their homes early Friday after a series of wildfires hit the Canadian province of Alberta.
The town of Drayton, southwest of Edmonton, was under a mandatory evacuation. Evacuation orders have also been issued for rural areas west and southwest of Edmonton.
Dozens of wildfires started Tuesday and have led to the evacuation of more than 10,000 people.
Most of central Alberta is under a fire ban after a period of windy and unseasonably hot conditions, with little chance of rain in the forecast.
