The Spanish Football Federation has asked suspended president Luis Rubiales to resign. That’s after he kissed a player on the lips at the Women’s World Cup final. On Monday, the disgraced president’s mother started a hunger strike in a church in southern Spain in defence of Rubiales, demanding an end to what she called “the bloody and inhumane hounding” of her son.
