Kim-Jong Un and Putin may meet: A pretty significant meeting for both sides
Issued on: Modified:
According to a report published in the New York Times, North Korea’s leader Kim-Jong Un could be planning a trip to Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin. The visit would see the two leaders discuss Pyongyang supplying Moscow with weapons for its war in Ukraine. It comes as Russia seeks closer military ties with North Korea. If confirmed, the move would mark a rare trip abroad for Kim who’d most likely travel by armoured train, to Vladivostok. Meanwhile Russia says it’s downed Ukrainian drones over regions close to Moscow and over the Kremlin-controlled Crimean peninsula.
