Forbes has tracked the world's billionaires since 1987, updating real-time net worth estimates as stock prices move daily. As of mid-2026, the combined top 10 are worth roughly $2.6 trillion, and for the first time in history, one person's fortune alone has crossed the $800 billion mark.
1. Elon Musk โ $835 billion
Musk has held the title of world's richest person since May 2024, with his fortune built primarily on his stakes in SpaceX and Tesla. In February 2026, he became the first person ever worth $800 billion after SpaceX acquired his AI company xAI in a deal valuing the combined company at $1.25 trillion.
2. Larry Page โ $309 billion
The Google co-founder became just the third person in history to cross the $300 billion mark. Page keeps a notoriously low profile but remains a controlling shareholder and board member of Alphabet.
3. Sergey Brin โ $285 billion
Page's Google co-founder came out of semi-retirement to help shape Alphabet's Gemini AI strategy, reportedly listed as a "core contributor" when the model released.
4. Jeff Bezos โ $277 billion
The Amazon founder retired as CEO in 2021 but remains executive chairman. He's since taken on an operational role again as co-CEO of a new AI startup called Project Prometheus.
5. Larry Ellison โ $276 billion
Oracle's cofounder added a staggering $71 billion in a single month in 2026, driven by red-hot demand for AI infrastructure and a major U.S. Department of War contract.
6. Michael Dell โ $244 billion
Dell Technologies' chairman and CEO added $67 billion in a single month as the AI boom lifted the company's stock more than 100% following a blowout earnings report.
7. Mark Zuckerberg โ $217 billion
The Meta founder and CEO has seen his company's stock underperform some rivals recently amid heavy AI infrastructure spending and layoffs, though his fortune continues to grow.
8. Jensen Huang โ $182 billion
Nvidia's cofounder and CEO has ridden the company's dominance in AI chips to help it become the first company ever valued at $5 trillion.
9. Bernard Arnault โ $148 billion
The only non-American in the top 10, Arnault built LVMH into the world's largest luxury goods conglomerate, encompassing roughly 75 fashion and cosmetics brands including Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co.
10. Steve Ballmer โ $141 billion
Microsoft's former CEO owes much of his fortune to a simple decision: holding onto the vast majority of his Microsoft stock after retiring in 2014, shares that have since risen more than 1,000%.
