Lies of P: Overture DLC Drops Out of Nowhere During Summer Game Fest

Summer Game Fest, which streamed Friday, is the annual event to show off some of the big games coming in the future across all platforms. While most won’t show up until later this year or even next year, a surprise bit of news was the reveal that the Lies of P: Overture DLC is out.

Lies of P: Overture, developed by Neowiz, is the first DLC for the game that came out back in 2023. The new content is a prequel to the main game and will give some background on what happened months before.

In Lies of P, players stepped into the role of a puppet in a unique retelling of the story of Pinocchio in the city of Krat, where puppet workers went into a frenzy and began killing their human masters. For the DLC, players once again control Geppetto’s puppet, who is being guided by the legendary Stalker. The DLC will show what happened prior to the Puppet Frenzy that destroyed the town. Lies of P: Overture takes more than 10 hours to beat and is the equivalent to a third of the size of the main game.

Lies of P: Overture costs $30 and is out on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles. A copy of the original Lies of P is required to play this DLC.
