Live: US stocks sink further, joining global selloff as tariff turmoil deepens

SINGAPORE: US stocks fell further on opening after a day of market turmoil across the world on Monday (Apr 7).
In Asia, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index led the Asian stock plunge, plummeting more than 13 per cent on its worst day since the 1997 Asian financial crisis.
European stocks also opened sharply in the red, as China’s retaliation against Donald Trump’s tariffs ramped up a trade war and fuelled recession fears. Follow our live coverage:
