Police Horses Targeted At Melbourne Weapons Expo Protest | 10 News First
Protesters at a Melbourne weapons convention have targeted police horses, as officers deploy pepper spray in an attempt to control the demonstration.
Thousands gathered at the entrance of the Land Forces International Defence Exposition at Southbank early this morning, with groups later marching to take over a major intersection at Wurundjeri Way.
Temporary fences that were set up in anticipation of the planned protest, where 25,000 are expected, have been torn down by demonstrators.
Police and protesters are expected to remain outside the event, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, throughout the day.
