Russians strikes in Ukraine: Explosions heard in Kyiv, raid alert issued across the country

The mayor of Kyiv says it’s air defence systems have downed several Russian missiles targetting the city this morning with a children’s hospital building reportedly hit by fragmentation. There are no reports of casualties or injuries so far. The mayor, Vitali Klicthko has called on people to remain in air shelters, stating that Russian hypersonic missiles have been launched by Moscow. Explosions were heard on the ground in the capital in the last two hours. Air raid sirens were also heard in other cities and in the west of Ukrainee, in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk an eight year old child was killed in a shelling.
