Though the 2024 Olympic Games had a rainy beginning at the opening ceremony and some competitions had to be postponed, the weather has improved in recent days.
The maximum temperature will reach 36°C on Tuesday, according to Meteo France.
Soaring temperatures will impact not only the athletes competing in the Games, but spectators, tourists and Parisien residents.
Meteo France issued a recommendation to restrict going out in the hottest hours and to stay hydrated, wear hates and use spray bottles.
The Paris regional train and metro operator Île-de-France Mobilités said on Monday that they will hand over two million bottles of water at over 70 train stations and stops of its transport network, as well as at the bus stations.
The initiative was launched to meet the needs of the millions of Olympic Games spectators.
