Sling TV Offers $5 Day Passes for Casual Viewers

Streaming TV is now in its skinny bundle era, and Sling TV is getting in on the action with the launch of its new streaming packages aimed at short-term viewers. The company announced new Day Pass, Weekend Pass and Week Pass offerings on Tuesday, with pricing starting at $5.

Do you only want to watch one NFL game on a weekend? You can opt for a Day Pass at $5, or the $10 Weekend Pass. Each pass grants access to the streaming service for a short period of time. Get 24 hours of Sling with the Day Pass, stream TV shows and more from Friday through Sunday with the Weekend Pass, or pay $15 for seven days of viewing with Sling’s Week Pass.

Additionally, the streamer is giving pass subscribers the option to tack on an add-on channel package (Sling Extras) at a discounted rate. If you want a few extra channels, you can supplement with additions like Sports Extra, Entertainment Extra or Kids Extra. Add a Sling Extra package to your pass at $1 for a Day Pass, $2 for the Weekend Pass or $3 for a Week Pass.

Sling TV is one of the more budget-friendly live TV streaming services. It offers three plans with channel lineups that include networks such as ESPN, TNT, TBS, Disney Channel, Comedy Central and CNN. Monthly prices start at $46, and viewers can also watch movies on-demand from the platform’s library.
