Spain’s close-run snap election result ‘disappointing’ for right
Issued on: Modified:
Spain’s close run election on Sunday produced a “disappointing” result for the conservative Popular Party, who many expected to sweep to victory says FRANCE 24’s Sarah Morris, reporting from Madrid. Current Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez retained more votes than expected, there is no easy path for him to form the coalitions needed to retain leadership for his socialist party. Morris says, “that may mean we are headed towards another election in Spain by the end of 2023.”
