The Oscars 2023: Nominations, When the Show Takes Place, How to Watch
The 2023 Oscars are on the horizon, set to take place on Sunday, March 12.
At this year’s show, absurdist comedy-drama Everything Everywhere All at Once leads nominations with 11. German anti-war epic All Quiet on the Western Front, tragicomedy The Banshees of Inisherin, biopic Elvis and Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans aren’t far behind.
The gold statues are (hopefully) in a safe pair of hands with Jimmy Kimmel on hosting duties for the third time. Here’s everything else you need to know to tune into the 95th Academy Awards, honoring films released in 2022.

With an excellent channel selection, easy-to-use interface and best-in-class cloud DVR, at $65 per month, YouTube TV is the best cable TV replacement. Read our YouTube TV review.

Now on its fourth name in three years, DirecTV Stream ties for most expensive at $70 (the other is Hulu Plus Live TV). The service does have its pluses, though — for example, it includes the flipper-friendly ability to swipe left and right to change channels. Additionally it includes some channels the other services can’t, including nearly 250 PBS stations nationwide. Read our DirecTV Stream review.

There’s a lot to like about FuboTV — it offers a wide selection of channels and its sports focus makes it especially attractive to soccer fans or NBA, NHL and MLB fans who live in an area served by one of FuBoTV’s RSNs. It’s also a great choice for NFL fans since it’s one of three services, alongside YouTube TV and Hulu, with NFL Network and optional RedZone. Previously, FuboTV offered a $65 Starter package, but this has now been phased out in favor of the $70 Elite. Read our FuboTV review.
