Failed Wagner group uprising means ‘dramatic fall from grace’ for leader Prigozhin – France 24

The Wagner group’s failed uprising has meant “a dramatic fall from grace” for group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, says FRANCE 24’s Leela Jacinto. Prigozhin hoped President Vladimir Putin would side with him against Russia’s military brass, whom Prigozhin has criticised throughout the war in Ukraine. “That didn’t happen, of course, Putin called him a traitor and now he is an exile in Belarus,” says Jacinto.
