Trump admin live updates: Trump to meet with Netanyahu at White House

President Donald Trump is scheduled on Monday to hold a high-stakes meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as the U.S. continues its efforts to broker a deal to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu is expected to arrive at the White House at 11 a.m. ET. About a half-hour later, Trump and Netanyahu are scheduled to enter a closed-press bilateral meeting in the Oval Office.

The two leaders will break for lunch in the Cabinet Room at noon, according to the White House, and are then expected to address the press at 1:15 p.m. ET.

Trump in the afternoon is also scheduled to meet with congressional leadership, as he seeks to avert a government shutdown.

The president will host bipartisan group — including House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries — in the Oval Office at 3 p.m. ET, according to the White House.
