A passenger train collided with an unattended lorry on Wednesday at a level crossing in Canton, Massachusetts. No serious injuries reported.
The trailer, which was left sitting on the tracks, was heavily damaged and dragged for about 30 metres before the train came to a stop.
One passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The train’s conductor told local media that the crossing gates and warning lights were functioning properly at the time of the collision.
The MBTA, operator of the passenger train, reported service delays and cancellations following the incident.
