Greenland’s prime minister has said he is ready to speak with Donald Trump about stronger cooperation, but talked down the president-elect’s idea of the US controlling the island.
Instead, independence remains a top priority for the island, which is a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark.
Donald Trump has also expressed a desire to takeover Canada and Panama in recent weeks. He says it’s all in the name of national security.
