The Wagner mercenary revolt led by Yvgeny Prigozhin may have ended nearly as quickly as it began. But it likely left a long-lasting mark on, Vladimir Putin’s leadership. The Russian president was visibly cornered into compromise – according to the terms of the agreement that ended the crisis, Prigozhine will go into exile in Belarus and will not face prosecution. Residents of Moscow are breathing a collective sigh of relief as they narrowly avoided what could’ve been a bloody military onslaught. FRANCE 24’s Gavin Lee has more on what could come next.
