Franco-Italian relations: Migration casts shadow over talks between Macron, Meloni – France 24

French President Emmanuel Macron will holds talks in Paris later today with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This as both sides seek to smooth a series of disputes that have frayed ties since she took the reins of Italy’s government last year. Meloni leads Italy’s most far-right coalition since World War II, is making her first visit to France since her election last year. The two leaders expected to discuss the implementation of a major bilateral treaty as well as upcoming EU and NATO summits. FRANCE 24’s Alice Brogat and Alison Sargent tell us more.
