Greece wildfires: ‘Hundreds of firemen are still battling the blazes’

“Three fires are still ongoing in Rhodes, Corfu and the island of Evia, where the news appeared to be slightly better according to the fire service earlier this morning”, said FRANCE 24’s correspondent in Greece Nathalie Savaricas. “However, hundreds of firemen are still battling the blazes [. . .]  the conditions for today are just expected to be as dangerous with wind [and] dry heat, just promising an explosive situation,” she added.
