Destiny Hope Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, to country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. She was nicknamed 'Smiley,' later shortened to 'Miley,' due to her cheerful disposition, and she legally changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus in 2008.
