Though it’s no longer Samsung’s latest compact foldable, the previous-gen Galaxy Z Flip 4 is still a sleek and powerful device that’s more than capable of handling most people’s day-to-day needs. And though most carriers and retailers are shifting their best offers over to the Z Flip 5 (along with the larger Z Fold 5), there are still plenty of ways to save big on the older foldable. Below, we’ve rounded up some of the best deals still available, so you can get one in your pockets for less.

With a 1.9-inch cover, a 6.7-inch main display that runs at 120Hz, and a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, the Z Flip 4 is still a powerful phone. It’s also a great upgrade if you were already using the Z Flip 3 but don’t want to go directly to the Z Flip 5 because of cost, or if you feel the change isn’t that great.

This story is part of Samsung Event, CNET’s collection of news, tips and advice around Samsung’s most popular products.

Though the newer Z Flip 5 has replaced this previous-gen model as our favorite compact foldable phone, the Z Flip 4 is still an excellent option for most people, especially when you can snag one at a discount. However, if you do want to upgrade to Samsung’s latest and greatest, there are plenty of deals on the Z Flip 5 available, as well as bargains on the larger Z Fold 5.

Retailers and carriers are starting to switch their focus over to the new Z Flip 5, but there are still quite a few deals on the older Z Flip 4. We’ve rounded up some of the best deals and offers below.

Verizon isn’t offering any straightforward deals on the Z Flip 4 at the moment, though existing customers can save some cash if they’ve got an older phone to trade in. However, there are a few bonuses available with the purchase of a new Z Flip 4. You can save $350 on a Galaxy Watch 6 or Watch 6 Classic with the purchase, or you can get a free Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G. You can also choose to get $220 off a Google Pixel Watch 2, or $170 off any Samsung smartwatch. Note that for all these devices — the Samsung watches or tablet, or the Google watch — you’ll need a new line of service.

AT&T is offering one of the best carrier deals out there that doesn’t require a trade-in. You can save $460 on the Z Flip 4 when you purchase it on an installment plan, which drops the price down to just $15 per month. The discount is applied over 36 monthly bill credits, and you’ll have to pay the remaining balance if you cancel service before then.

Best Buy is offering a direct deal on unlocked Z Flip 4 models, with $100 off the regular price, bringing them down to $900. There’s also its own trade-in program, where you can save up to $650, with the latest iPhones netting you the biggest discount. Best Buy has also partnered with Verizon, and you can save $650 on the Z Flip 4 with same-day activation on a new line.
