SEMPORNA, Sabah: A Singaporean man was among those killed in a collision between a tour van and a lorry in Malaysia on Monday (Mar 11) afternoon.

The 60-year-old man and a 40-year-old Vietnam national were killed in the accident in Semporna in the Malaysian state of Sabah.

Three others were seriously injured, comprising the 42-year-old Malaysian tour van driver and two Singaporeans aged 67 and 71.

“Two other Singaporeans, an 11-year-old girl and a 58-year-old man, sustained minor injuries. All injured victims were sent to hospital for further treatment,” Mazlan said in a statement on Monday.
