Storm Hans in Northern Europe: People urged to stay inside as strong winds, rain hit Scandinavia

Norwegian authorities have warned its citizens to brace themselves for “extremely heavy rainfall” after Storm Hans caused two deaths. Strong winds continue to batter the region along with rains, sparking disruptions in countires inclusing Denmark, Sweden and Lithuania. Ferries have been canceled, flights delayed, roads and streets flooded. Thousands remained without electricity Tuesday. Officials have urged people to stay home from work, adding that unnessecary traffic should be avoided. FRANCE 24’s Clémence Waller explains.
