Ukraine conflict: Russia raises maximum age limit for compulsory military service

Lawmakers in Russia have backed legislation increasing the maximum age limit for compulsory military service. From January, citizens aged 18 to 30 can be called for military service. The new law also prohibits conscripts from leaving Russia after receiving a draft notice. The latest move out of Moscow comes as its invasion of Ukraine continues.
